Gold rates up Rs5,100 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices witnessed another sharp increase of Rs5,100 per tola on Friday in the local market following a rise in the international market.

All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association stated that 24-karat gold rates reached Rs454,336 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs4,372 to Rs389,519, while in the international market, gold rates increased by $51 to $4,319 per ounce.

Typically, gold prices in the local market are adjusted by a premium of $20 against rates in the international market.Silver rates increased by Rs280 to Rs6,639 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver rates also rose by Rs240 to Rs5,949.
