LANDIKOTAL: The Khyber district administration, in collaboration with the health authorities, launched a campaign on Wednesday against the sale of medicines without a prescription from a registered doctor.

In this connection, an awareness walk was also held in Landikotal, which was attended by health officials, civil society members, drug dealers, and retailers. They were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the sale of illegal drugs.

Talking to journalists, Baqir, a drug inspector, said he visited Landikotal and led an awareness walk on the directives of Director General, Drugs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abbas Khan. He said the sale of controlled medicines, including Gabica, without a registered medical doctor’s prescription, was a criminal offense.
