KARACHI: Gold prices witnessed a sharp increase of Rs10,000 per tola on Wednesday in the local market following a rise in the international market.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, 24-karat gold rates reached Rs437,936 per tola.Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs8,573 to Rs375,459Gold rates increased by $100 to $4,155 per ounce in the international market.
Typically, gold prices in the local market are adjusted by a premium of $20 against rates in the international market.Silver rates increased by Rs273 to Rs6,624 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver rates also rose by Rs235 to Rs5,679.
