Govt cuts petrol price by Rs3.39 per litre, diesel by Rs4.07

ISLAMABAD: The government reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel for Wednesday, lowering the ex-depot price of petrol by Rs3.39 per litre and diesel by Rs4.07 per litre, providing modest relief to consumers amid fluctuations in international oil markets.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), based on the federal government’s revised petroleum pricing mechanism, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products effective Aug 5, 2026.

The ex-depot price of petrol was cut to Rs328.56 per litre from Rs331.95 per litre, reflecting a reduction of Rs3.39 per litre.

Similarly, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) was lowered to Rs385.86 per litre from Rs389.93 per litre, down Rs4.07 per litre.
