ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has departed for a two-week overseas vacation, according to sources close to the capital's top police official.

Rizvi traveled to Turkey alongside his family and is scheduled to visit several European countries during the two-week leave, sources confirmed. In his absence, senior Islamabad police officer Muhammad Haroon Joia has been designated to perform the duties of the IGP. Rizvi is expected to resume his official responsibilities upon returning from his trip.
