LAHORE:Two people allegedly died after consuming poisonous and intoxicating pills in separate incidents here on Tuesday.
According to an Edhi spokesperson, a 50-year old woman identified as Firdous Bibi allegedly consumed poisonous pills in Shahdara Town, reportedly after becoming distressed over domestic issues. She was shifted to hospital in critical condition but could not survive.
In another incident in Shahdara, a man identified as Shafaat allegedly died after consuming intoxicating pills. Police of the respective stations shifted both bodies to the morgue through Edhi ambulances.
