LAHORE: Pakistan continued their impressive run at the World Ju-Jitsu Championship 2026, as young athletes Muhammad Yousaf Ali and Umar Yasin clinched the bronze medal in the Under-21 Men’s Duo category.
The duo, former 2024 Asian Under-18 Ju-Jitsu Champions, once again demonstrated exceptional technical skill, teamwork, and composure under pressure to secure a podium finish. Their achievement highlights Pakistan’s strong potential and bright future in global Ju-Jitsu competitions.
With this latest success, Pakistan’s overall medal tally at the championship has risen to two gold and two bronze medals. Earlier, Abu Huraira and Muhammad Ammar made history by winning two gold medals in the Masters Duo and Duo Show categories — Pakistan’s first-ever golds in the Masters division.
Khalil Ahmed Khan, Chairman Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation (PJJF) and Secretary General Tariq Ali congratulated the athletes and praised their dedication, noting that these victories reflect the continuous growth of Ju-Jitsu in Pakistan. More Pakistani athletes, including Aamir Khan and Umar Shabab, are set to compete in the coming days, as the championship continues at Mubadala Arena, Abu Dhabi.
