Novo Nordisk names Mehtaz Sultan Khan Pakistan general manager

KARACHI: Novo Nordisk has appointed Mehtaz Sultan Khan as General Manager for Pakistan, effective 3 August 2026, as per a statement on Tuesday.

The appointment follows the recent launch of Novo Nordisk’s obesity therapy in Pakistan and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to care for chronic diseases.Mehtaz brings over 15 years of leadership experience across healthcare and consumer goods, having driven commercial strategy, brand building and business transformation in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf and Iraq. He previously served as Marketing Director at Abbott Nutrition International, covering Pakistan and Iraq, and has held leadership positions at Reckitt, Nestlé, Almarai and Shan Foods.

Commenting on his appointment, Mehtaz Sultan Khan said he looked forward to working with the team and stakeholders to widen access to care, raise disease awareness, and deliver sustainable value for patients in Pakistan.Burak Cem, VP BAMECA at Novo Nordisk, said Mehtaz’s experience would be instrumental in strengthening partnerships and expanding access to innovative therapies in the country.
