KHAR: A government primary school in the Kharki area of Mamond Tehsil of Bajaur district was destroyed in an overnight explosion, the residents said Thursday.
The residents said unidentified miscreants had allegedly planted explosive material inside the school building before detonating it late at night. The blast extensively damaged the building and spread fear among the local population. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Police and officials from other relevant departments reached the scene shortly after the incident, collected evidence, and launched an investigation into the blast.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the motive behind the incident or identify those responsible.
The latest attack comes just a week after a government middle school in the same village was destroyed in a similar explosion involving explosive material.
