Three workers sustained burn injuries after a fire broke out at a restaurant near Murtaza Chowrangi in the Landhi area on Wednesday.
The incident occurred within the limits of the Sharafi Goth police station, where a fire erupted inside the restaurant during work. The injured were identified as Irfan, 28, son of AbdulSalam; Shahid, 30, son of Gulab Khan; and Sikandar, 32, son of Iqbal. They were shifted to the Civil Hospital Burns Ward for treatment.
According to SHO Shahid Taj, the fire broke out while workers were opening the valve of a gas cylinder. Initial investigations suggested that the valve opened suddenly, causing gas to escape under high pressure and ignite, resulting in burn injuries to the three workers.
The officer said people present at the restaurant managed to bring the situation under control before the fire could spread further, preventing the blaze from spreading. The SHO added that all three injured workers suffered minor burns and were out of danger.
