MIRPUR (AJK): President of Pakistan Peoples Party AJK Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner of AJK, urging the immediate restoration of internet services across the region ahead of the upcoming elections.
In his letter, Yasin expressed concern that the suspension of internet services is seriously affecting election campaigns and creating difficulties for both political parties and voters. He emphasised that the timely dissemination of accurate information to the electorate is essential, warning that the lack of internet access could hinder a transparent electoral process.He noted that internet shutdown increases the risk of misinformation and rumors.
