KARACHI: Former cricket captain Javed Miandad has said that quality coaching and modern training at the grassroots level are essential for producing skilled players. He was speaking with the media as the chief guest at a certificate distribution ceremony of Karachi Under-15 Boys’ Cricket Skill Development Program at Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana the other day.
“There is no shortage of talent in Pakistan the need is to hone and further refine the abilities of the youth,” said Miandad while highlighting the significant contributions made by Jalal Uddin and ‘Helping Hands’ at the academy level. The programme was organised by Jalaluddin Cricket Academy in collaboration with ‘Helping Hand for Relief and Development’. In the welcome address, project head and former test cricketer Jalaluddin stated that this long-term programme aims to showcase the talents of emerging cricketers.
