Islamabad: National University of Technology (NUTECH) organised a seminar on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Its Impact on the Future Job Market,” bringing together more than 487 principals and faculty members from public and private educational institutions and academies across Pakistan, says a press release.
The seminar served as a strategic platform for education leaders to discuss the transformative role of artificial intelligence in learning, industry practices, and future employment opportunities. Participants explored emerging trends in AI and discussed strategies for preparing students and institutions for the evolving demands of the digital era.
The event featured insightful presentations by Dr Benish Fida, Head of Department/Assistant Professor (AI), NUTECH, and Professor Dr Awais Yasin (TI), Professor of Computer Engineering Department, NUTECH, who shared valuable perspectives on the expanding influence of artificial intelligence across education, industry, and the employment landscape. Dr Benish Fida highlighted the rapid advancement of AI technologies and their growing impact across multiple sectors. She emphasized the need for educational institutions to adopt AI-driven approaches through faculty development, curriculum enhancement, and digital readiness.
Professor Dr Awais Yasin (TI) highlighted NUTECH’s innovative Magic QC initiative, demonstrating how AI-based solutions are transforming industrial quality control through intelligent inspection, improved accuracy, and enhanced operational efficiency. He also discussed the broader impact of AI on industrial productivity and future technological advancements.Concluding the session, Rector NUTECH thanked the participants and emphasized the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
