LAHORE:Sindh Minister for Livestock & Fisheries Department Muhammad Ali Malkani along with Secretary Livestock & Fisheries Department Sindh Dr Kazim Hussain Jatoi and Director General Sindh Institute of Animal Health Karachi Dr Nazeer Hussain Kalhoro visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore and had a meeting with Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani on Friday.
Muhammad Ali Malkani also chaired a meeting with UVAS senior faculty members, sought suggestion and technical inputs from UVAS experts related to institution best practices, advance research, livestock development model, animal health & disease diagnostic systems, biotechnology applications, vaccine production, local breed improvement as well as explore potential areas for collaboration. Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Dean Faculty of Bio-sciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman and UVAS senior faculty members and administrative officers were present in the meeting. While addressing the meeting, M Ali Malkani spoke purpose of his visit to seek innovative ideas and explore opportunities for exchange knowledge between UVAS and Livestock & Fisheries Dept Sindh for the capacity building of human resource and the development of Sindh Livestock & Fisheries sectors as well. He expressed his desire to collaborate with UVAS for the promotion training of Livestock & Fisheries Department Sindh staff for their capacity building & enhancement of their professional skills.
