ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced appointments and transfers in the federal bureaucracy.
Grade-21 Police Service officer and former Director General of NAB Rawalpindi, Waqar Ahmed Chauhan, has been appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control. He had been awaiting posting in the Establishment Division. His appointment has been made on a two-year deputation.
Muhammad Umar, a Grade-19 officer of Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service serving as Director Commercial Audit and Evaluation (North), Islamabad, has been posted on deputation as Director, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
Section Officer Ahmed Ali has been transferred from Commerce Division to Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Muhammad Arif, Assistant Director (BS-17) in the Office of Provincial Ombudsman, Government of Balochistan, has been appointed on a three-year deputation as Assistant Director in Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Balochistan Region.
The services of Lieutenant Commander Muhammad Hussain have been placed at the disposal of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi, where he has been appointed as Education Officer (BS-17) on secondment for a period of two years.
Grade-18 Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service officer Akhlaq Ahmad Dogar has been repatriated from the Government of Punjab to his parent department, Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan. His repatriation will take effect from May 25, 2026.
Grade-22 Pakistan Administrative Service officer Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh, Secretary, Petroleum Division, has been granted fully paid leave for travel abroad to Saudi Arabia from July 14 to July 15, 2026.
Dr Misbah Anjum, Associate Professor (BS-20) at the National Institute of Child Health (NICH), Karachi, has been granted a further one-year extension in her deputation to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, under Wedlock Policy, effective July 27, 2026.
