Islamabad:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has directed the Capital Patrol Unit (CPU) to enhance street vigilance, maintain strict discipline, and adopt a public-friendly approach to ensure robust crime prevention across the federal capital.
The directives were issued during a special briefing delivered by the police chief to CPU officers at the Police Lines Headquarters. The session was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Security Operations Salman Zafar, and other senior police officials.
Addressing the officers, IGP Rizvi emphasized that maintaining law and order, protecting civilian lives and property, and ensuring effective law enforcement remain the fundamental responsibilities of the police force. He instructed personnel to conduct proactive patrolling, ensure swift response times to emergency calls, and keep a close watch on suspicious activities while treating the public with utmost courtesy.
To achieve these goals, the IGP highlighted that modern policing, rapid emergency response, and building public trust are top priorities for the department. He stressed that every officer must execute their duties with professionalism, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility.
