LAHORE:The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) has installed 200 smart waste bins in Sahafi Colony as part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's Suthra Punjab vision to improve waste management and maintain a cleaner urban environment across the provincial capital.
The smart bins were installed to enhance sanitation facilities in the area. A formal inauguration ceremony was held in Sahafi Colony, where Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari inaugurated the project in the presence of SPAL Deputy General Manager (Circle-II Operations) AneesJanjua.
Arshad Ansari appreciated the Suthra Punjab Authority's efforts, saying the installation of smart waste bins reflected the SPAL's commitment to improving cleanliness standards in Lahore. He thanked SPAL DG Babar Sahib Din for facilitating the initiative in Sahafi Colony.
SPAL officials said the agency was also ensuring regular door-to-door waste collection from every household in the colony to provide efficient sanitation services. Babar Sahib Din said the installation of smart waste bins outside homes was part of practical measures aimed at providing residents with a clean and waste-free environment.
