Islamabad: Pakistan cricketer Fakhar Zaman on Tuesday visited Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s residential institution, Aghosh College Murree, and inaugurated a new sports ground for orphan children.
He was accorded a warm welcome by students on arrival. During the visit, Fakhar toured the college’s academic blocks, residential facilities and hostels. He lauded the international-standard education, residential, training and sports facilities being provided to orphans and commended Alkhidmat Foundation for its humanitarian services.
The national batter also played cricket with students and had lunch with them. Addressing the students after the inauguration, Fakhar shared milestones from his own journey and said hard work, consistency, discipline and quality education are the foundation of a successful future. He urged the youth to pursue their dreams with dedication, respect teachers and maintain a positive mindset.
Calling the Aghosh Homes Project “a beacon of hope,” he said it provides orphan children with quality education, care, security and equal opportunities to build a dignified future. Fakhar said he is a personal donor to Alkhidmat’s welfare projects and appealed to philanthropists to support initiatives like Aghosh Homes and sponsor orphan children.
Aghosh College Principal Azam Khan briefed him on the Orphan Care Program. He said millions of orphans in Pakistan need special attention and Alkhidmat has been serving them for years through education and character building.
