LAHORE:A seminar on 'Immunisation and Disease Control in Livestock' was held at the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) City Campus here on Tuesday. UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani presided over the inaugural session of the seminar while a number of professionals, researchers/veterinary experts, faculty members and postgraduate students were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Masood Rabbani welcomed international guest speaker came from Turkiye. He said that the livestock sector in Pakistan faces many challenges related to animal health issues, livestock management, biosafety and biosecurity, rising temperatures and climate change. He said veterinarian play a key role in safeguarding animal health from different diseases by providing services to livestock farmers. He said small livestock farmers are not much aware about latest farming techniques and modern method of animal management.
