The government has once again raised prices of petroleum products. Sadly, the government always opts to shift burden of increased global oil prices onto the people while considerable reductions in oil prices translate only into minimal reduction in petrol and diesel prices. The incumbent government needs to optimise their spending to minimise the sufferings of the citizens, who are already unable to make ends meet in a times of unprecedented inflation.
