KARACHI: BankIslami has partnered with EFU Life Assurance and EFU General Insurance to offer microtakaful protection plans to its customers through its mobile banking application.
Under the agreement, customers will be able to enrol in and manage takaful plans, including making payments and filing claims through the digital platform. The plans cover areas such as health and accidental protection, mobile device coverage, digital transaction security, theft protection, home protection and travel takaful.
The partnership was formalised at a signing ceremony held at EFU’s headquarters in Karachi, attended by officials from BankIslami, EFU Life and EFU General.BankIslami Chief Digital and AI Officer Waqas Anis said the initiative was aimed at using digital channels to improve access to takaful products and provide customers with additional financial protection options.
