LAHORE : Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute (SZPGMI) and Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex Lahore on Saturday organised a ceremony to recognise employees who demonstrated exceptional commitment to fire safety, emergency preparedness, and response, as well as to honour staff members who retired after rendering dedicated services to the institution. During the ceremony, Certificates of Appreciation were presented in recognition of their valuable contributions.
The ceremony was attended by Chairperson & Dean Professor Dr Ayesha Humayun and Executive Director Dr M Hatif Iqbal along with faculty members. The distinguished guests presented Certificates of Appreciation to employees who had shown exemplary performance in promoting fire safety and effectively responding to emergency situations.
Addressing the participants, Professor Dr Ayesha stated that the success of any institution depends on the dedication, responsibility, and professionalism of its workforce. She emphasised that in a highly sensitive area such as fire safety, prompt response, professional competence, and a strong sense of duty are essential for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, attendants, and hospital staff. She commended the outstanding employees for their exemplary services, describing their commitment as a source of inspiration for others within the organisation.
She also paid tribute to the retiring employees, acknowledging that they had devoted many valuable years of their professional lives to the growth of Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex, the welfare of patients, and the advancement of the institution.
Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director Dr M Hatif Iqbal said that safeguarding the lives and property of patients, their attendants, and all employees remains the foremost priority of Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex Lahore. He appreciated the employees who demonstrated exceptional commitment to fire safety, stating that their professionalism, dedication, and sense of responsibility are a matter of pride for the institution and serve as an excellent example for others.
He stated that Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex will always value and remember the sincere, hardworking, and honest services of its employees.
