The Cooperative Department, Government of Sindh, held a ceremony in Karachi to mark the completion of its Capacity Building and Orientation Programme, awarding certificates to participating officers and appointment letters to newly recruited BS-17 assistant registrars selected through the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC).
Adviser to the Chief Minister on Interprovincial Coordination and the Cooperative Department, Sardar Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari, attended the event as chief guest. Secretary Cooperative Department Qamar Raza Baloch and Registrar Cooperative Wajid Sheikh were also present.
Certificates were presented to officers who completed the training programme, while appointment letters were handed over to newly recruited assistant registrars. Senior officers who served as trainers and mentors were also honoured with appreciation certificates for their contributions to the programme.
Addressing the ceremony, Mazari said the strength of any institution depends on the professionalism, integrity and competence of its workforce. He said the Sindh government is pursuing reforms to promote transparency, improve governance, strengthen institutional capacity and enhance public service delivery.
He urged the newly appointed officers to perform their duties with honesty, merit, accountability and dedication, adding that public servants should be recognised for their professionalism, adherence to the rule of law and commitment to resolving public issues.
Secretary Cooperative Department Qamar Raza Baloch said the training programme was aimed at enhancing officers’ professional skills, strengthening administrative capacity and improving service delivery. He added that the department is continuing institutional reforms and promoting modern governance practices under the guidance of the provincial government.
