WANA: A man, stated to be a teacher, was killed and two children were seriously injured in a suspected drone strike on a house in Ladha tehsil in Upper South Waziristan on Saturday.

Sources said the drone hit the house in Halal Algad Mishta area, killing Muhammad Nawaz Nazarkhel, a schoolteacher. They said he had travelled to his ancestral village in Halal Algad Mishta with his family during the summer holidays when the incident occurred.

The two injured children were shifted to the Headquarters Hospital in Ladha in serious condition, where they were receiving medical treatment, the sources said.

The incident triggered fear and panic among residents, with local people expressing concern over the reported strike.

There was no official statement from the authorities until the filing of this report.
