CHITRAL: The Forest Department has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against illegal logging, timber smuggling and other environmentally harmful activities to help protect the region from the impacts of climate change, an official said on Friday.
Speaking to local journalists at his office, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Chitral Asif Ali Shah said the protection and development of forests remained the department’s top priority, with officials and field staff working around the clock to curb illegal activities.
