PESHAWAR: Police authorities on Friday carried out a major reshuffle in the capital city’s police force, suspending six station house officers (SHOs) and posting 18 others to new assignments as part of efforts to improve law and order.
According to a notification, Inspector Hashmat Khan and Sub-Inspector Subhanullah, Sub-Inspector Tariq Jamal, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Rafiq and Inspector Tehsinullah have also been closed to Police Lines after they were suspended for various charges.
Another SHO Majid Khan of the Regi Model Town was also suspended and an inquiry has been ordered against him for gross misconduct after kidnapping in his area. Capital City Police Officer Dr Mian Saeed has directed all the SHOs to improve performance and serve the people to the best, along with going after criminals and ensuring law and order. They were directed that action will be taken against them too if they failed to improve law and order.
As per the notification, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Riaz has been posted as new SHO Yakatoot, Sub-Inspector Usman as SHO Michni Gate, Sub-Inspector Rizwanullah as SHO Sarband, Sub-Inspector Mubarak Zeb as SHO Town, Sub-Inspector Uzair Khan as SHO East Cantt, Sub-Inspector Fahim Shah as SHO Daudzai, Sub-Inspector Noman Khan as SHO Paharipura, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Bilal as SHO Kabli.
Also, Sub-Inspector Saleem Khan posted as station house officer Hashtnagri, Assistant Sub-Inspector Mir Azam as SHO Inqilab, Sub-Inspector Behramand Shah as SHO Mattani, Sub-Inspector Iftikhar Ahmad to the Security Unit at Police Lines, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Javed as SHO Shahpur, Assistant Sub-Inspector Shah Khalid as SHO Shaqabool, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Asif Khan as SHO Gulberg, Sub-Inspector Abdullah Jalal as SHO West Cantt, Sub-Inspector Yousaf Shah as SHO Rehman Baba and Sub-Inspector Naseeb Khan as SHO Urmar.
