Islamabad:The top cop of the Islamabad Police have ordered an immediate inquiry into a video circulating on social media involving a foreign woman, with Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Islamabad, Jawad Tariq, taking notice of the incident.

According to a police spokesperson, the DIG directed Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Qazi Ali Raza to conduct a transparent and impartial inquiry into the matter. He said strict action would be taken against anyone found responsible following the investigation.

The DIG said preliminary information suggests that the issue appears to be of a civil nature rather than a criminal offence. He emphasised that the facts would be established through a fair inquiry before any further action is taken.

He further stated that efforts would be made to resolve the dispute through mutual understanding and dialogue between the two parties, while ensuring that the inquiry is conducted in accordance with the law.
