Dr Tayyaba Zarif, former vice chancellor of the Government College University Hyderabad and a native of Sindh, was appointed vice chancellor of the Women University Rawalpindi for a four-year term on Friday.
Dr Zarif is currently serving as the dean at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Nawabshah. She completed her higher education in the field of education from the University of Karachi. Academics and educationists had congratulated Dr Zarif on her appointment, expressing confidence that her extensive academic and administrative experience would contribute to the growth and development of the Women University Rawalpindi.
