LAHORE:The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) carried out a comprehensive zero-waste operation in Gulberg Townunder the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, deploying over 1,000 sanitation workers and 134 operational vehicles to ensure effective cleanliness arrangements. Under the directives of Suthra Punjab Authority Director General Babar Sahib Din, sanitation teams successfully cleared 15 identified hotspot areas in Gulberg Town. Mechanical washing, manual sweeping and scraping activities were also completed along Ferozepur Road. Around 170 loader rickshaws were deployed for door-to-door waste collection in the area. Routine mechanical sweeping and washing operations are being conducted daily on Main Boulevard Gulberg, MM Alam Road and Noor Jehan Road. Meanwhile, sanitation staff continued their work on Ali Zeb Road, Main Market, Mini Market, Liberty Market and Barkat Market to complete early morning special cleaning operations.
Cleanliness teams were also deployed in Garden Town, Jeewan Hana Pind and areas surrounding Gaddafi Stadium, Kalma Chowk Flyover, Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, Model Town Link Road and Peco Road. SPAL teams are ensuring timely clearance of waste containers and uninterrupted door-to-door waste collection across the city to provide improved sanitation facilities to residents.
