LAHORE: CM Punjab Sports Academies have been established to identify and develop future sports champions and the children enrolled in the academies will receive training throughout the year at no cost. DG Sports Punjab M Tariq Qureshi said this on Thursday.
He said that the academies are producing fresh pool of talented athletes by providing best coaching in various sports. “The young athletes are being trained in a professional environment with the objective of promoting a strong sports culture throughout Punjab. CM Punjab Sports Academies are offering free sports training to children throughout the year”.
The training activities continued at various sports venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex under the CM Punjab Sports Academies programme.
As many as 40 young athletes including 18 boys and 22 girls participated in karate academy at the Elite Training Centre Nishtar Park Sports Complex. Coach M Amir conducted the training session in which he taught basic karate techniques and modern combat skills to young athletes. The session aimed to enhance the participants' technical abilities while building discipline, confidence, and physical fitness.
