ISLAMABAD: The Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) on Wednesday adjourned until after summer vacation, the hearing of the case regarding the disqualification of Sohail Sultan, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from Swat.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Aamir Farooq heard the petition filed by Sohail Sultan against the National Assembly Speaker’s decision to send a disqualification reference to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
During the hearing, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan appeared as the counsel for Sohail Sultan, while the Special Secretary Law of the Election Commission of Pakistan, Muhammad Arshad Khan, appeared alongside other ECP officials.
Meanwhile, the bench on the request of Barrister Gohar Ali Khan adjourned further hearing of the case until after the summer vacations.
