Islamabad:MNS Agriculture University, Multan in collaboration with The Centaurus Mall, inaugurated the 10th Annual Mango Festival, reaffirming its commitment to promoting Pakistan’s agricultural excellence, tourism, and local industries through one of the country’s largest public celebrations of the ‘King of Fruits.’
The five-day festival, running from July 8 to 12, brings together mango growers, researchers, exporters, agribusiness professionals, and consumers under one roof, showcasing more than 65 premium and rare mango varieties from across Pakistan.
Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi attended the inauguration as the chief guest. The ceremony was also attended by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO of The Centaurus Group, Adviseor to the Prime Minister on Tourism, senior officials of MNS Agriculture University Multan, agricultural experts, members of the business community, and media representatives.
Addressing the gathering, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan said The Centaurus Mall has evolved beyond being a shopping destination into a national platform for promoting Pakistan’s agriculture, culture, tourism, and economic potential. He said the annual Mango Festival reflects the group’s vision of connecting farmers, researchers, businesses, and consumers while highlighting the country’s finest agricultural products before local and international audiences.
He paid tribute to MNS Agriculture University Multan for its contribution to agricultural research, innovation, and modern cultivation techniques, saying the university’s efforts are helping improve the quality, productivity, and export competitiveness of Pakistani mangoes in global markets.
