LAHORE: As per the vision of Chairperson & Dean, Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute (SZPGMI) and Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex Lahore, long-pending faculty promotion cases at the institution have been successfully resolved.
In light of the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), 34 faculty members have been promoted to the next higher positions, while one officer has been granted placement in BS-20.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson and Dean Professor Dr Ayesha Humayun stated that promoting merit, transparency, and professional excellence remains the administration’s highest priority. She said that resolving these long-overdue promotion cases was not only the rightful entitlement of the faculty members concerned but would also contribute significantly to enhancing professional satisfaction, academic standards, and the quality of healthcare services provided to patients.
She congratulated the promoted faculty members and expressed confidence that they would continue to serve with greater dedication and commitment in the fields of teaching, research, and patient care, while playing an even more effective role in the continued growth and development of the institution.
The promoted faculty members expressed their gratitude to Prof Dr Ayesha Humayun, Chairperson & Dean, and the institutional administration for their trust and support. They reaffirmed their commitment to contributing with renewed enthusiasm towards excellence in teaching, research, and patient care.
Prof Dr Ayesha Humayun also acknowledged the valuable support of the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, particularly Federal Minister for National Health Services, Syed Mustafa Kamal, and the Federal Secretary for Health.
