LAHORE:A 22-year-old man was killed while another sustained serious injuries after a speeding dumper rammed into their motorcycle in Hanjarwal area on Wednesday.
The accident occurred near the Hanjarwal Metro Station on Multan Road when a speeding dumper hit the motorcycle from behind. As a result, the pillion rider, identified as 22-year-old M Hussain, a resident of Sialkot, died on the spot, while the motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries. Rescue teams provided first aid and shifted the injured man to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police said the dumper driver fled the scene after the accident, abandoning the vehicle. The dumper has since been taken into police custody.
