LAHORE: A mother of three died after sustaining severe burn injuries under mysterious circumstances in Liaquatabad area, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident.
Police said the woman, who lived in a rented house with her husband, was found critically burned and later succumbed to her injuries.According to investigators, her husband told police that his wife had set herself on fire and also attempted to hang herself.
During the preliminary investigation, police found that the couple had frequent domestic disputes. However, officials stressed that the exact circumstances leading to the woman’s death had yet to be established.The body was shifted to a hospital for a post-mortem examination, while police initiated legal proceedings.
