KARACHI: inDrive, the global mobility platform, hosted a Safety Workshop for 50 of its drivers in Karachi on Wednesday as part of its commitment to responsible mobility in Pakistan.
The training focused on road safety, accident prevention, conflict resolution and professional conduct. Drivers were also trained to identify risky situations, manage aggressive passenger behaviour and assist elderly, disabled and vulnerable passengers.
Country Manager Awais Saeed said safety was the “foundation of trust” in the platform’s ecosystem. “By investing in our drivers’ education, we are raising the benchmark for urban transport security and dignity in Pakistan,” he said.
The workshop included briefings on inDrive’s safety features such as pre-ride protection, secure in-app calls and chats, and AI moderation that can ban abusive passengers for 30 days.
Drivers were also informed about inDrive’s permanent accident and health insurance, which is renewed annually and covers both drivers and passengers during active rides for medical costs, disability and other benefits.
