Bestway Group partners with Geely for vehicle assembly, distribution

KARACHI: Bestway Group has entered into a strategic partnership with China’s Geely Auto Group for the distribution and local assembly of Geely vehicles in Pakistan.

Under the agreement, Bestway Automotive (Private) Limited will serve as the authorised distributor of Geely vehicles in Pakistan. The company will initially introduce selected models as completely built units (CBUs), followed by local assembly at Bestway’s existing automotive plant in Karachi.

The partnership is expected to support localisation, strengthen the local automotive supply chain and create employment opportunities, according to a statement issued by Bestway on Wednesday.

The vehicles planned for introduction include Geely’s EX5 and EX2 electric SUVs, along with the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV.

Geely, one of China’s largest privately owned automakers, operates a global portfolio that includes brands such as Volvo, Lotus, Zeekr and Lynk & Co, and has investments across automotive and smart mobility technologies.The agreement was signed at Geely’s headquarters in Hangzhou, China.
