SARGODHA: Three people, including two women, were killed after a speeding dumper rammed into a motorcycle near Langarwala Bridge in the jurisdiction of Sahiwal police station on Tuesday.
According to the police, the deceased were identified as Kaneez Fatima (50), Umm-e-Kalsoom (33) and Kamran (20). The victims were travelling to Sargodha on a motorcycle when the dumper struck them. All three died on the spot. The Police and Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the bodies to a hospital. Further investigation is under way.
FATHER, SON ELECTROCUTED: A man and his son were electrocuted while cleaning a swimming pool at Quaidabad on Tuesday.
According to police, Abdul Sattar (45) and his son, Muhammad Subhan, came into contact with the live wiring of a water pump while carrying out cleaning work at the pool. Both died on the spot. Rescue 1122 personnel and police shifted the bodies to a hospital for postmortem. Police have launched investigation.
