KHAR: The brother of a local activist of the Awami National Party (ANP) was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in the Loisam area of Khar tehsil in Bajaur on Tuesday.
The slain person was identified as Abdul Razzaq, the brother of ANP activist Dr Tariq and a resident of Inzari village.Dr Tariq was seriously injured last year when he came under fire in an attack that also claimed the life of ANP leader Maulana Khan Zeb.
Following the latest incident, ANP leaders and activists placed the body on the road and staged a protest demonstration, demanding the arrest of those responsible for the killing.Authorities have yet to release details regarding the motive behind the attack, while the police and other law enforcement agencies have launched efforts to investigate the incident and identify the perpetrators.
The killing has heightened tensions in the area, with party workers calling for swift action against those involved and urging authorities to ensure the safety of political workers and local residents.
