PESHAWAR: The federal government has appointed judicial member Behlol Khattak as the acting chairman of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) until further orders.
A formal notification to this effect has been issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice. Behlol Khattak has been entrusted with the additional responsibility following the completion of the three-year tenure of FST chairman Justice (retd) Roohul Amin Khan.
Justice (r) Roohul Amin was appointed FST chairman in July 2023 and has now relinquished the office after completing his prescribed term. According to the notification, Behlol Khattak would continue to perform the administrative and judicial functions of the tribunal as acting chairman until the appointment of a permanent chairman or the issuance of further orders by the federal government.
