LAHORE:Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) continued its province-wide crackdown against drug traffickers under CM’s vision of ‘Drug-Free, Healthy and Safe Punjab’.
During the last two weeks, the Punjab CNF conducted 75 operations across various districts of the province, resulting in the arrest of 87 suspects. A total of 156.61 kilograms of narcotics, with an estimated market value of over Rs29.5 million, were recovered during these operations. According to the CNF spokesperson, the operations were carried out in Lahore, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Sahiwal.
The recovered narcotics included 96.6 kilograms of hashish, 10.4 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice), 5.9 kilograms of opium, 42.2 kilograms of cannabis (bhang), 1.2 kilograms of heroin, and 188 bottles of liquor.
