WANA: Three girls were killed and four other people sustained injuries after a projectile, apparently dropped from a quadcopter, struck a house in Nargasi area in Lower South Waziristan early Sunday. Police officials said the projectile hit the residence of Muhammad Gul, alias Bagal, belonging to the Dinoor sub-clan of the Wazir tribe.
As a result of the attack, three girls, including Mainka Bibi, 15, Gulnaza Bibi, 9, and Bashroobana, 6, were killed, while Mazla Bibi, Khatir, 13, Naqeeb, 4, and Gul Zadin, 22, sustained injuries.The explosion, the officials said, triggered panic and fear in the area, while rescue efforts were launched immediately to shift the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana.
