MIRPUR (AJK): In Azad Jammu Kashmir, the Youm-e-Ashura was observed with religious fervor on Friday.
Tazia, Alam and Zuljinnah processions were taken out from central imambargahs in all major cities and towns across the state including Muzaffarabad besides Mirpur, Kotli, Bagh, Bhimber, Jhelum and Neelam valley districts which culminated at their stipulated religious sites - imambargahs after passing through their traditional routes, terminated at the main imambargahs on same evening.
There were no untoward incident was reported in any part of the AJK. Water and milk stalls were set up to facilitate the mourners on the occasion.
Zakirs, Naatkhawans and scholars highlighted the significance of the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions who laid down their lives for supremacy of righteousness, truth and justice.
