PESHAWAR: Tribute was paid on Sunday to all voluntary blood donors for their contributions to saving lives as a ceremony was arranged at the Frontier Foundation to mark World Blood Donor Day.
Addressing the event, Frontier Foundation Chairman Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem said that World Blood Donor Day is observed annually on June 14 to acknowledge and honour young volunteers who donate blood and to raise public awareness about the importance of blood donation.
He expressed special gratitude to students who regularly donate blood and support patients in need.The Foundation’s Administrator, Dr Fakhr Zaman, dwelt at the significance of blood donation and its role in healthcare. The organization salutes all blood donors who donated blood to help save the lives of patients suffering from thalassaemia, haemophilia, cancer and other diseases.
