LAHORE:Defence-C Police have traced and arrested two suspects allegedly involved in a series of thefts in the Toba Gohawa, South Cantonment and Bhatta Chowk areas during Eid holidays.
According to police, accused Joseph Masih alias Sagar and his son, JamshedSagar, targeted upscale residential neighbourhoods and allegedly stole valuables worth more than Rs10 million from a house during Eid.
Police said the suspects posed as people seeking sacrificial meat and visited various houses to assess occupancy. They reportedly rang doorbells to determine whether residents were present before selecting their target.
The police recovered stolen gold jewellery, wristwatches, foreign currency and other valuables from the accused. Officials said Joseph is a habitual offender with a record of involvement in 45 cases related to theft, robbery, illegal possession of weapons and housebreaking.
