RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed 17 terrorists in different districts of Balochistan following the May 24 attack on a train near Chaman.

After the train incident, security forces conducted a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Mastung, Nushki, Zehri, Khuzdar and Ketch districts of Balochistan province. During these operations, troops effectively engaged multiple terrorist locations. Following intense and fierce exchanges of fire, 17 terrorists “belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Hindustan have been sent to hell”, giving a significant blow to the terrorist networks operating in these areas, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

According to the military’s media wing, weapons, ammunition and large cache of explosives and prepared improvised explosive devices (IEDs) have also been recovered from killed Indian-sponsored terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area, the ISPR said.

APP adds: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the security forces for conducting successful intelligence-based operations in various districts of Balochistan and praised their professionalism and bravery.
