Scattered rain forecast

LAHORE:Heatwave continued to prevail in the provincial capital here on Tuesday while Met office predicted scattered rain with similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature in the City reached 37°C with real feel of 41°C while after the evening it came down to 29°C. The average AQI of the City was 198, which came in the category of unhealthy while the PM2.5 concentration was 5 times the World Health Organisation annual PM2.5 guideline value.

Met officials said weak moist currents were approaching southern parts of the country from Arabian Sea. A high pressure was also present in upper atmosphere and may persist until next 24 hours and a westerly wave was likely to approach upper parts of the country today (Wednesday) and likely to persist until 5th June (Friday).
