KARACHI: The Karachi Hockey Association (KHA) has launched free Summer Hockey Training Camps 2026 at two venues in Karachi for boys and girls of all ages during the summer vacations, KHA Joint Secretary Haider Hussain announced on Tuesday. The camps began on June 1 and admissions remain open at both venues.
The first camp is being held at Allama Iqbal School, Block 16, F.B. Area.Haider claimed the school is Pakistan’s first government school with an international-standard AstroTurf facility.
The second camp is being going at KHA Legend Arena, Block 5, Gulshan-e-Iqbal till 15 June.Haider said participants will receive training from former Pakistan hockey stars, including Olympians Hanif Khan and Waseem Feroze, who will share their international experience and techniques with young players.
He added that no registration or training fee is being charged, while hockey equipment and gear are being provided free of cost by KHA Legend Arena. “KHA is committed to promoting hockey at the grassroots level and providing equal opportunities to young players,” he said.
Haider said admissions remain open and certificates will be awarded to all participants. He also announced that a second phase of the summer camps will be held in July, with details to be announced later.
