Pakistan to host Asian Team Squash Championship in November

KARACHI: Asian Squash Federation has rescheduled the 23rd Asian Squash Team Championship and now it will be held in Islamabad from November 3-7.

The championship was originally scheduled in April in Islamabad but due to the US-Iran war it got postponed and now the new dates have been announced by ASF. Pakistan is to host this Championships after 34 years as the country hosted the first edition of the championship in 1981 and then organised the sixth edition in 1992. Pakistan has won this championship for record 15 times.

According to championship details, teams are grouped into pools as per seeding. Each team must have at least three players, but no more than four players may be nominated. Players are listed in descending order of strength as per their current form of participation including PSA rankings at closing of entry; results of the latest Regional Individual Championships, national level championships and international competitions. The ASF Seeding Committee will announce the initial teams seeding with nominated squads and the final team seeding in the due course of time.
