Islamabad : Renowned dental surgeon, academician, implantologist and Principal and Dean of the School of Dentistry at the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) Prof. Dr. Bilal Ahmed has been conferred the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the government in recognition of his outstanding contributions and meritorious services in dentistry and academics.
The award was presented at the investiture ceremony held at Governor House in Lahore on May 13, 2026.
Prof. Dr. Bilal Ahmed is a gold medalist graduate of De’Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore (2002), FCPS qualified from the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (2009), and is widely recognised for his expertise in dental implants, restorative dentistry, clinical education and academic leadership.
With over two decades of professional experience, he has served in key academic and clinical positions and has played a pivotal role in promoting modern dental education, postgraduate training and advanced patient care in Pakistan. He is also the founder of MediDent Specialist Clinics -- Dr Bilal & Associates Dental Practice, Islamabad, which has been providing quality dental healthcare services since 2003.
